Met our inspiration - Ivy Rose and Winston Beaumont!

Ivy Rose (right) hasbeen a hugepart of our experience since we moved to Portland, Oregon. With Ivy we have explored from the Cascade Mountains to the Pacific Ocean with rivers and forests in between. Along the way, we have worked through countless brands of collars, leashes, dog bowls, and so many other training and developmental tools.

In 2019, we began fostering through One Tail at a Time, or OTATPDX, and fell in love with helping dogs get used to homes in the urban environment of Portland, Oregon. Training became a fascinating (and challenging) aspect of repeated potty training, bite impulse, and socialization.

This project began when we started to hone in our favorite product brands, and developed some methods to control the madness of a multi-dog house.

Winston joined us in 2021, during the height of the pandemic. He was our 9th foster and his connection with Ivy was immediate. A 8-week west Texas rescue, he added a new dynamic to the house. After we #fostfailed, he has become another personality to help socialize and grow the conifdence of the foster pups that come through the house.
