Cascadian Paws is a small, independent shop built by dog owners and foster homes. Alongside our own journals and gear, we point you toward products from other companies that we genuinely think will help you and your dog. We want to be upfront about how that works and why it matters.
How affiliate support helps
Every commission goes right back into the work you already come here for: researching and writing our science-based training books and guides, keeping our resources pages current, and running a business small enough to answer your emails personally. Affiliate income helps fund the reading, fact-checking, and writing hours behind each title — so we can keep publishing training you can actually trust.
Put simply: when a recommendation is a good fit for you and your dog, it also helps sustain the writing and the shop. That alignment is the whole point.
A curated range of pet and global brands
We recommend a deliberate mix — some pet-specific, some from larger global retailers — chosen to help you get the most out of your time with your dog, whether that's calmer walks, better rest, smarter enrichment, or the right gear for a day on the trail. That range means you can find the training tools, everyday essentials, and adventure gear that fit your life, without hunting across a dozen sites.
Wherever a product comes from, it has to clear the same bar we hold our own shelves to: does it genuinely help the dog-and-owner relationship, and would we reach for it ourselves? If the answer is no, it doesn't earn a link.
